Safe Motherhood &
Maternal Survival.
Supporting women and families to access timely, life-saving care through awareness, preparedness, and system-level responsiveness.
The Challenge
Maternal survival is often determined by the "Three Delays": delay in seeking care, delay in reaching care, and delay in receiving care. Our program targets these bottlenecks directly at the community level.
Key Interventions
ANC Promotion
Driving early and frequent antenatals through community awareness.
Birth Preparedness
Helping families plan for logistics and blood donation before delivery.
Danger Sign Awareness
Training families to recognize emergency symptoms early.
Facility Trust
Bridging the gap between traditional perspectives and clinical care.
"Motherhood shouldn't be a death sentence. We work to ensure it never is."
Through the 'Safe Motherhood' initiative, TAAF works to reduce maternal mortality by improving access to emergency obstetric care and community-level support.
We don't just count activities; we measure the shift in community behavior and facility responsiveness.
ANC Compliance Goal
Reduction in Home Births
