Her Hygiene &
Her Campaign.
"Our work on menstrual health isn't just about products; it's about power and presence."
The Mission
Her Hygiene began as a response to the quiet crisis of period poverty. We saw that adolescent girls were missing school and facing stigma because they lacked basic hygiene resources and accurate health information.
Supporting adolescent girls who lacked access to menstrual health information and basic hygiene resources was just the beginning. We realized that by addressing their immediate hygiene needs, we opened a door to broader conversations about reproductive health, rights, and agency.
Key Lesson Learnt
"Menstrual health is not standalone; it is often a girl's first entry point into understanding her health and rights."
Today's Impact
Through 'Her Hygiene', TAAF provides eco-friendly menstrual solutions, health education, and advocacy to keep girls in school and restore their confidence.
The evolution from hygiene to health advocacy.
What started as a distribution campaign has evolved into a comprehensive SRHR curriculum. We now work with state governments to institutionalize menstrual health and rights within school systems.
